Description

We're looking for a full- time Product Designer to join our Digital Team at our London Office.
We are on a mission to make our listeners’ world sound better, with brand-expressive digital radio and audio listening experiences that delight and engage audiences across web, app, voice and connected devices. This role will play an integral part in our journey to become global audio pioneers.
You will be helping design to fly the flag through the entire product lifecycle, focusing on the user problem as a starting point, collaborating with others and leading the way on achieving measurable outcomes that deliver business value. This is a Hybrid role that supports a balance between working from home and our office in London.
Our team
Bauer Media Audio operates a ‘hub and spoke’ model for digital. The central digital team supports our country business units with strategy, insight, innovation, product management, technology, IP distribution and support. Our country teams are responsible for local planning, content and commercial delivery. As part of a combined community of digital experts, the teams work in partnership to create outstanding services to our users and deliver commercial success. As a team we thrive on combining local market excellence with a wider, global perspective.
What you'll be doing
  • Work on the entire design process throughout the product lifecycle, from discovering value, validating propositions all the way through to delivering products and services.
  • Work within agile multidisciplinary delivery teams on our product ecosystem.
  • Advocate for the user to drive value for our businesses.
  • Present designs to key stakeholders and clearly communicate why decisions were made.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to craft delightful customer experiences, develop, and validate prototypes, alphas, betas, and live services.
  • Regularly conduct testing with users, design the methodology for these and turn the output into intelligence.
  • Participate in regular sprint ceremonies and contribute to progressing & improving our culture and ways of working - offering up new approaches.
  • Co-develop a cross-platform design system that the whole design team can share.
What we're looking for
Years of experience are less important to us, we are not looking to tick boxes with this role, and we are open to looking at candidates from all backgrounds. We hope that you are passionate about audio, and it would be great if you had some of the below:
  • Proven experience working on things that exist in the real world, not only as prototypes.
  • A natural and inclusive collaborator with a positive outlook.
  • Able to confidently share and communicate ideas to a range of professionals from different backgrounds.
  • Someone who gives and receives quality feedback in equal measures.
  • Able to work in a systemised way, including the implementation of design systems and workflow tools such as Figma.
  • Experience with user-centred design principles and methodologies.
  • Experience creating end-to-end user journeys, user flows and prototypes to communicate ideas.
  • Experience working in agile product development and SCRUM.
  • Experience working across regions and understanding of how it impacts product design is a plus.
  • Experience working with matrix teams and a distributed workforce a plus.
