At a glance:
  • Contract type - This position is a 12 month Fixed Term contract
  • Working pattern/flexible working - This is a blended working role, therefore your time will primarily be split between working from home and the London Head Office. However, there will also be an expectation to visit other locations as the need arises.
About the role:
As Senior Comms Executive, you are responsible for supporting the delivery of the Comms & CRM comms & contact strategy for John Lewis Financial Services, managing campaigns from creative brief through to building, sending and performance reporting against defined benchmarks.
You will ensure communications are delivered accurately and on time across multiple channels, testing and optimising campaigns to deliver great performance.
Key responsibilities:
  • Supporting a collaborative and motivated team environment, giving and receiving regular and honest feedback to colleagues to improve the performance of self and team.
  • Supporting the development and planning of marketing communications across a range of channels, particularly email, SMS and direct mail.
  • Accountable for ensuring accuracy of communications - (in terms of: copy, design, tone of voice, timings and audience)
  • Responsible for the end to end briefing and execution of campaigns.
  • Monitoring and reporting on campaign results & KPIs to drive insight and optimise accordingly.
  • Become an in-house expert at using our CRM tool Salesforce, automating and building journeys to test and provide valuable insight back to the business.
  • Working with Data Insight and Analytics teams to ensure clear and measurable customer outcomes are identified as part of campaign planning and execution.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and consultant to the wider business on Comms & CRM and data-driven marketing, embedding best practice.
  • Providing day to day support to Senior Comms/CRM Manager(s) and Comms/CRM Manager(s).
  • Working closely with stakeholders in JL Customer, ensuring adherence to broader John Lewis CRM principles and continued dialogue with the Profession to support continued learning and development for the team.
Essential skills you’ll need:
  • Previous Comms & CRM experience
  • Solid experience in designing and running CRM / email / direct marketing campaigns
  • Good understanding of customer lifecycle marketing
  • Strong eye for detail, when QAing campaigns and delivering performance reporting
  • Strong numeracy and Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • Great communication and problem solving skills with an ability to build great relationships
Desirable skills you’ll have:
  • Previous Salesforce user or equivalent platform (Adobe, Braze, MailChimp etc)
  • Understanding of automation and trigger setup
  • Financial Service industry experience
  • Understanding of complex customer targeting and segmentation
