What You Will Do
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Manager role include leading the execution, financial review and presentation of the operational forecasts, annual operating plans and five-year plans, in partnership with the Finance Director. Additionally, the role is responsible for leading and managing direct and indirect report teams, partnering with businesses to develop planning assumptions for key business drivers, design revenue optimizations plans, cost control and oversee development of commentary/cause of change explanations for management reports and client-specific reports, and executing Financial Planning & Analysis policies and procedures. Lead and manage a team of 6 (1 Finance Manager, 1 SFA, 2 FA’s and 2 Interns)
FP&A
  • Manage the overall DCP EMEA FP&A process and calendar working with the Global Finance team and the Director Finance in discussion with the Regional Management team and the EMEA Commercial Finance Directors.
  • Adapt and update the FP&A processes to drive efficiency and improved forecast accuracy.
  • Responsible for the preparation of Forecast / Close / AOP review presentations within defined deadlines for presentation to the Global DCP team, EMEA DCP Management team and DE Management.
  • In conjunction with Finance Director responsible for agreement and timely communication of EMEA latest Forecast & Close position to SVP Head of DCP EMEA, VP EMEA Finance and Global DCP Finance.
  • Support Finance Director Forecast and Planning to run the Five Year Plan financials process in partnership with the Category Finance and Director Strategy.
  • Manage the Quarterly accrual process with Finance, Category and Controllership to strive for accuracy within the +5%/-5% range each quarter.
  • Oversee management of all Other revenue and all cost lines.
Financial Management
  • Partner with the Global & EMEA Controllership teams at quarter end to ensure accurate quarter end accrual and closing position is reported. Provide commercial context, variance analysis and assist in SAP/P&L reconciliations.
  • Responsible for ensuring EMEA consolidation is correctly reflected in all systems (Invision, Cognos & Flash Reporting).
  • Responsible for the accurate reporting of the EMEA DCP P&L (expenses hit correct budgets, all accruals/reclasses complete when required).
Marketing
  • Partner with VP Marketing, their team and the Marketing Finance analyst to ensure that all marketing spend is planned and tracked carefully, accurately and efficiently across the entire region.
  • Adapt and update the Finance marketing processes to drive efficiency and forecast accuracy.
Creative/PD
  • Partner with VP EMEA Creative and VP EMEA PF to ensure that all spend is planned and tracked carefully across the entire region.
Ad hoc support
  • Support Finance Director with ad hoc presentations and projects for VP Finance, SVP Head of DCP EMEA and the Global team.
  • Represent Finance Director Forecast and Planning in their absence.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Level of experience, Qualifications and People Management experience
  • Degree level, and Accounting qualification ACCA / CIMA + experience of an equivalent commercial and FP&A role.
  • Experience of working within the retail / licensing FMCG sector preferably for a US corporation preferred.
  • Experience of supporting commercial management to a high standard and working with the Regional Finance and Commercial head office.
  • Must have managed a team showing evidence of developing and supporting them.
  • Comfortable to work with Senior Executives in EMEA and Global.
