We are looking for a Lead Integration Architect to help us define, and execute against, a vision for integration across our organisation. The role is responsible for elaborating an integration strategy that puts the best possible foundation into place for Burberry in the future with a focus on simplifying and rationalising our existing integration capabilities. This will also be framed within the context of a transformation agenda that is driving a need to increase velocity of change. The role is focal point for delivery activity and will need to inform, consult, steer and support the activities and requirements of business analysts, developers, client business stakeholders and steering groups.
Producing, evolving and refining the integration architecture for Burberry.
Driving the overall technical and product strategy for the current and any future states of the integration roadmap, helping to prioritise what matters most to the organisation.
Helping to define and agree architectural principles and design guidelines as they relate to the integration capabilities, with a focus on simplification and rationalisation.
Confirm rationale for application and technical architecture decisions, presenting options and solutions that pragmatically support the goals of the organisation.
Produce an integration catalogue, acting as a central resource for integration across all of IT solution delivery.
Establishing a target architecture and roadmap, developing this as business requirements evolve, underpinned by good practice experience and technology thought-leadership.
Raise and resolve any architectural issues/risks that could have implications against the security model.
Providing guidance for the implementation of data-centric services and solutions
Ensuring that delivery projects plan for all required integration development are aligned to defined principles and are reasonable.
Engaging and directing any ‘Proof of Concept’ or prototyping of applications and solutions.
Engaging and working with suppliers and partners to define the best possible solution and the most appropriate deployment of their technology and products
Identifying and exploiting the re-use of any components, patterns or techniques for re-use by delivery projects, ensuring that projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and business and IT strategies.
Ensure that operational and supportability guidelines are factored into the construction of any solution - this will include liaison with the relevant live service and service management teams to ensure that they understand the implications of any proposed design.
