The local Merchandising team is responsible for the consistent brand image of Givenchy Beauty throughout the brick-and-mortar distribution for the UK and Ireland, in line with the international guidelines.
Reporting into the UK Marketing Director, the Senior Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for the hard and soft merchandising roll out. This requires managing a VM Trade activations Manager and a VM intern. They will work closely with the HQ Merchandising and Architecture team, to guarantee the perfect application of the global brand strategy and vision.
Delivering best-in-class solutions across all Givenchy Beauty retail partners, ensuring the approach is commercially sound, consistent brand messaging and customer-centric to maximize ROI and commercial opportunities.
Merchandising roll out throughout the brick and mortar distribution
Understand and apply HQ guidelines regarding design and techniques, validation chain and internal policy.
Prepare project requests and briefs for all new openings which respect the aesthetics and technical constraints from HQ Architecture (+ HQ validation timeline constraints)
Adapt HQ Architecture principles and guidelines according to the specificities of your Market.
Fully lead on local projects for lower grossing doors, which are fully designed and managed in the UK, ensuring HQ approvals are met at every stage.
Check and Validate shopfit drawings of the suppliers/Shopfitters
Ensure every project is managed and delivered to the highest standards by UK suppliers, in a timely manner, and within budget, with a CSR centered mindset, and unlocking any blocking points faced along the process.
Alongside purchasing, work to implement strong UK supplier pool, developing current supplier relationships, constant R&D, and recruiting new highly skilled suppliers to ensure reactivity and highest quality builds.
Manage maintenance of all permanent touchpoints across all retailers.
Manage forecast and production of soft merch POSM, and ensure counters are suitable for current product focuses, and updateable for future launch/ trade activations.
Lead strategic vision, and follow closely all new product launches, trade activations and visual rollouts ensuring qualitative implementation, accurate budgeting, and national launch dates are never compromised.
Ensure team consistently deliver detailed monthly Merchandising Guidelines sent out to the store network with clear instructions and focus for any launches or hero SKUs clearly highlighted.
Support the VM Trade Activations Manager in the conception, implementation and execution of all soft merchandising assets for new launches including promotional sites, retailer windows and planograms for all doors in a timely manner.
Fully lead high profile project implementation and larger site builds on ad-hoc basis as required.
Work closely with the Marketing Director and wider Marketing team to ensure consistent launch messaging across all elements.
Working alongside the Marketing team to Forecast and Plan the activation calendar in a timely manner, ensuring to meet the brief of each retailer for each launch
Ensure strong activation input is shared with wider team, as Visual Merchandising lead, to maximise activation opportunities in the market.
CSR vision required across all production decisions
Guarantee the accurate forecasting for all animation elements
Manage the annual budget to guarantee delivery of the trade plan, managing expectations of the Marketing and Sales team.
Identify budget opportunities and build business cases to unlock relevant investments / budget reshuffles along the year.
Alongside VM Trade Activations Manager, ensure accurate phasing of budget.
Monitor leftovers to minimize their impact on the budget .
Relationship building with the corporate teams in Paris
Collaborate with international VM and Architecture teams to ensure UK priorities are taken into account.
Work closely with the HQ teams ensuring clear, structured communication throughout each project & regular status updates.
Build a strong and efficient relationship with the Paris purchasing team
Minimum 8 years in VM including 3 years in a management position or equivalent
Strong understanding and eye for Brand Equity & Hard and Soft Merchandising experience gained in a similar environment.
Previous management of both soft and hard merchandising projects required
