About the Role
The successful delivery of the Partnership strategy is critical to the continued success of the Partnership.  At the heart of the Partnership is the Transformation Team, responsible for the creation and successful delivery of a £500m+ annual portfolio plan as part of our multi-year journey. Recognising the need to organise ourselves in the most efficient and effective way to deliver the Partnership Plan, our operating model is organised around a “hub and spoke” model, with an enterprise portfolio management hub connected into each of the Partnerships Lines of Business (John Lewis, Waitrose, Pan-Partnership). The transformation plans in each Line of Business are led by our Heads of Brand Transformation, who will lead a small Transformation Squad to plan and deliver the brand plans, and support the achievement of overall business goals. As we move into the next phase of our transformation, we have opportunities for experienced Strategic Brand Change Leads to join our Transformation team, and work as part of the Transformation Squads in each of our major brands.
This is a pivotal role in a new function as part of a refreshed operating model, and an exciting opportunity for the successful person to come in and shape how the team operates, and influence broader ways of working across business leaders responsible for delivering change.
You will own the Change Management landscape for the relevant Brand line. Leading a small team of Strategic Change managers you will be responsible for enabling Brand Partners and leaders to prepare for and successfully navigate all change that the Brand teams experience, identify and mitigating risk whilst optimising the change plan to better embed and sustain change.
As the role holder, you will be responsible for defining and managing the Brand line Change Management Plan, in alignment with the Brand Portfolio Plan. This involves advising on the sequencing of change to bundle implementations for maximum collective impact of change, adjusting the sequence or phasing of changes to minimise disruption and improve the successful landing of change.  You will also work closely with the Change Capability Lead to understand and address the cumulative impact of change across the Enterprise with the appropriate tools, techniques and leadership engagement.
Additionally you will be responsible for the consistent, flexible and effective application of the Strategic Change Management Framework. You will advise Programme Managers and senior business leaders on the appropriate level of Change Management activity to support integrated and enduring change across the business, providing targeted support as required across major change programmes and broader value streams.
As a key member of the Brand Transformation Squad, you will work into the relevant Head of Brand Transformation and closely collaborate with the PMO Brand Lead and Programme Managers to advise on and guide the Brand line’s change journey.
