JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Objective of the role
As the Visual Merchandising Assistant, you will be an ambassador of the brand, supporting the Visual Merchandising team in the implementation and execution of VM standards across the region in line with the Marc Jacobs guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate coordination within daily VM operations, ensuring retail and wholesale environments reflect current VM directives.
  • Undertake administrative tasks which include issuing purchase orders (POs), monitoring budgets and managing supplier invoices etc.
  • Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising team to install and deploy windows and in-store displays that align with the brand's guidelines and seasonal themes.
  • Support with coordinating the daily VM setup and refresh of all the retail and wholesale stores as per the direction of the VM team.
  • Work closely with store teams and support BOH for preparation of new products to be implemented in store for each launch.
  • Assist in maintaining the overall visual presentation of the store by arranging product displays, signage, and props.
  • Maintain strong communication channels between various departments to ensure a cohesive approach to visual merchandising.
  • Provide hands-on assistance with organising visual props, managing inventory for display materials, and ensuring clean presentation standards.
  • Act as the VM expert and champion by passing on knowledge to teams, sharing information and VM training sessions with store teams to encourage best practice and improve VM standards.
  • Carry out regular store visits to stay up to date with the retail landscape, suggest improvements, and keep open communication to build good relationships with teams in-store.
  • Support with new store openings by delivering all VM elements required for launch, working closely with Store Design and Retail Ops teams.
PROFILE
  • Degree in Visual Merchandising or a related field.
  • Previous VM experience (preferably within the luxury retail industry)
  • A demonstratable passionate for the Marc Jacobs brand and product
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels
  • Proactive, agile and dynamic
  • Positive and passionate with an ability to motivate others
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Photoshop.
