About

From highly pigmented paint to printing fine textiles. Fermoie was the natural progression for Farrow & Ball founders, Tom Helme and Martin Ephson – taking their deep expertise in colour and light to a new, more textural dimension. There are almost as many ways to describe the subtle, tactile quality of Fermoie fabrics, as there are colourways in their bespoke collections, over 500 in fact. Ephemeral. Abstract. Intriguing….. What makes Fermoie so unique is their design and printing technique. Layers of colour on our textured weaves shine through and interact with the prevailing light. All designs are original and hand-drawn by the team in the Wiltshire studio, who then mix water-based pigments to build a bespoke colour palette that work with the existing collection. These pigments are then printed onto Fermoie base-cloths in the factory and dispatched within seven days. Whether you’re looking to adorn a gallery wall, upholster a contemporary sofa or make curtains for a country cottage, there is bound to be a Fermoie fabric to suit. Blending in comfortably with an original design aesthetic – and a story it can truly call its own. FERMOIE a Colour and Fabric Story, Over a Decade in the Making
