How do we love when we are distracted by fantasies and expectations? Is there a difference between expressing love and feeling it? Are we being authentic or pretending when we show love to others? These questions inspired me to create “Love is our show”. I wanted to combine the theatricality of a fashion editorial with the intimacy of a dance performance. I imagined a dancer who captivates a bored spectator and takes him to a dark space where they can share a passionate embrace. But this is only a fleeting moment before they return to reality. I was lucky enough to realise this vision at the famous Glory in London and in my old studio in North London. My work is driven by the idea of creating a coherent visual narrative. The concept is the starting point from which I develop everything else. This work has been realised with the precious team work and help of Efe Igbinadolor , Bella Robinson and The Glory London and with the precious necklaces made by Lucie Gledhill.
