Pocc Talks is a fresh, fearless platform we've launched with Pocc for phenomenal changemakers and thought leaders to be heard by those who are ready to listen. From workshops and Q&As, to masterclasses, panels and more, we’re on a mission to deliver talks that inspire and challenge us to think about the world differently. We are pioneers. We are provocateurs. We are precisely what the industry needs. First, we needed to create some distinctive brand assets for the Pocc Talks franchise. With the help of a small team of Pocc creatives and motion graphics designers we evolved the Pocc brand guidelines to develop a sub brand specifically for this offering. We then launched our first skills sharing series for the Pocc community ‘How did you become…', starting with a virtual Pocc Talks with the bestselling author of 'Love in a Headscarf' -Shelina Janmohamed. We wanted our first talk to appeal to aspiring Pocc writers, wordsmiths and budding authors within the community looking to increase their knowledge around publishing. Head of New Business Jordie moderated a 40 minute conversation with Shelina who walked us through the tips and tricks for how to get published, how to trust your inner voice about what you want to say and how to say it, how to navigate the publishing industry, and most of all how writing a book doesn't have to be just a dream, it can be a reality. The event was a great success with the community for launch. Our second Pocc Talks focused on a conversation with Kelly Okogwu, interviewed by our Pocc Head of Strategy Damola Timeyin to take us through her journey from assistant to music manager and her experience working on artist collaborations with the likes of Jess Glynne, Rita Ora, Wiz Khalifa, Calvin Harris and Stormzy to name a few. Pocc Talks is a speaker franchise we are looking to expand and commercialise for partners and clients looking to host interesting events, as well as continuing to host Pocc Talks for our community.
