The waiting, the squeezing, the smelling, the disappointments come to an end. Thanks to a sticker. Hass avocados (fyi: 'Hass' is German for 'hate') have a skin that becomes darker with increasing ripeness. Having the same color as an ideally ripened avocado, these stickers reliably tell customers when an it has ripened enough to be ready to eat.
The sticker reads: "Eat me when I'm this color."
