Ship of Fools - Paul Kindersley at Selfridges

Paul Kindersley – artist, YouTuber and make-up enthusiast extraordinaire is debuting an ambitious new series of performances at Selfridges with SKIP Gallery until 31 March.

'For me drag is something universal that everyone engages with daily. We wake up and choose clothes to fit a storyline, however conscious or unconscious. I think it has always been there.’
Ship of Fools is the closing event in SKIP Gallery’s month-long Like It or Lump It exhibition. Mashing up drag, avant-garde theatre, medieval mummers’ plays and the 15th-century allegorical art of Hieronymus Bosch, Paul’s vision transforms the SKIP Gallery exhibition space into a boat – a ship of fools, in fact.
Paul and his ragtag troupe of eight performers will be putting on a play they don’t know, with a script that defies logic, to an audience who may not be interested in watching. However the performances pan out, they’re sure to be a confounding but unforgettable pieces of theatre.
Performance times:
Tuesday 19: 6.30-7.30pm
Wednesday 20: 1.30-2.30pm
Thursday 21: 6.30-7.30pm
Tuesday 26: 6.30-7.30pm
Wednesday 27: 6.30-7.30pm
Thursday 28: 1.30-2.30pm
