The Floor Magazine: Issue 001
The Floor is an online and print magazine that celebrates and highlights creative (literary) arts. The content spans from poetry to music- also including theatre, book, tv & film. The seasonal mag essentially starts where Filmore's Floor ends. It gives a more in-depth and detailed insight into the lives of the artists whilst simultaneously showcasing their work.
The first issue starred Jude Yawson, author of Stormzy's Rise Up biography, as our cover feature. We spoke about how he got into writing, the process of writing the book and what's next for his career.
Other segments included Filmore's Ones to Watch: 4 emerging music artists that we saw making waves and doing big things in 2019 (and we weren't wrong!)
A launch party was curated to commemorate Issue 001. There were networking exercises and games, alongside spoken word recitals, poetry reading and music performances. There was also art placed around the venue that complemented and coincided with the magazine's aesthetic.
