- Te Matatini LogoTe Matatini are an NZ company I had the pleasure of working with in a re-design of their company logo represented by the Huia bird. The Huia bird was an iconic native NZ bird now extinct and to the native people it represented beauty, leadership, excellence and prestige. I brought the traditional styling of the original logo into the present day giving it a modern, sleek and simple look, maintaining the original colours and sticking with their brand guidelines.
- Synlait PackagingThis was a Team Project working with New Zealand milk powder/formula company Synlait. Working in a team environment we created new packaging concepts for their new infant formula. Working back and forward with Synlait we created a range of new ways to package and prepare the formula from existing products in the market today. Combining many different skills and design processes to achieve our final result. The project was an excellent team building exercise and came together brilliantly with everyone playing their parts.
- Pachoud YachtsSpecialist in the building of composite motor yachts 15 - 50 metres, Pachoud Yachts are renowned world-wide for engineering excellence, world-class high-quality finishes, luxurious timber interiors and unwavering attention to detail. We have successfully completed over 50 Yachts building everything from power catamarans, motor launches to high performance Carbon Fibre racer-cruising yachts. I was tasked with a re-design of their existing logo, keeping its same style that their clients are familiar with but giving it a more modern and sleek look. Updating it fresh for 2015.
- Swamp Kauri Coffee TableThis Shipping Pallet styled coffee table has been carefully made from the oldest, biggest, rarest, most ecological and most exclusive wood in the world. I was given the opportunity to work with Swamp Kauri, which can only be found in the far Northland of New Zealand. The wood is anywhere between 30-50 thousand years old and has the most amazing finish I have seen on any type of wood. Single planks can reach $100 (NZD) this table is made from approximately 25 planks. This tables dimensions on its base measure 750mmx700mmx350mm. The Pallet itself is detachable and sits on its base making it easy to clean and store.
- Kinect the DotsKinect the Dots’ was my final University Project. The self-written brief was to combine past, present and future technology and design processes to create D.I.Y. custom furniture. Through many failed experiments, materials and processes I came across a style and material that worked with my brief. Combining C.A.D, Skeletal Tracking Technology and a material called Autex I was able to create the aesthetic I desired. Allowing the user to create furniture using their body, creating a net, which could be printed, cut out and assembled in the comfort of your own home with some basic tools.
