- Art Posters and Catalogues to Promote Queenmama MarketMar.~Nov.(2016), Posters: a3 size, Catalogues: Indigo printing, Page size 290×350mm The Queenmama Market is urban lifestyle shop which is located near Dosan Park in Gangnam, Seoul. The market introduces the modern and sensitive products and shows the combination of plants and objects. From the first basement floor to the third floor, they sell products for gardening, kitchen, diffuser, design, fashion and beauty item. At the very top floor of this complex cultural space, there is an open cafe for their special ‘Manufact Coffee’. I produced 3 versions of poster catalogue with newspaper’s form by using art posters. The 3 versions provide 3 different ways to see posters. The first version consists of images which are scanned posters printed on tracing paper and brief explanation of Queenmama Market. The second version is disposed with only posters per spread. The third version is designated to focus detailed parts of each poster by dividing, mixing and matching.
- A Dark HistoryOct.~Dec.(2014), Offset printing, page size 170×240mm, 150pp. I thought that a dark history had started when Adam and Eve had committed sin. I used only back color to depict everything corrupted by sin. I also thought that history goes through the times and affect past, present and future, so I printed it on a transparent tracing paper so that the contents could overlap or be seen separately. I expressed the dark history by simply placing ordinary objects because it is common in our daily life.
- A Brochure for School of Industrial & Information Design of Handong Global UniversityJun.(2015), Offset printing, Page size 210×277mm, 36pp. I redesigned brochure which introduces School of Industrial & Information Design(now, School of Contents Convergence Design) of Handong Global University(HGU). I aimed to improve the fact that the brochure did not have any distinctive features from those of other schools and that it was a tedious information explanation. The new brochure’s concept is creative and eccentric 'designing geeks', and high-chroma light green is used as the main color. I also used graphical elements according to visual hierarchy in information descriptions and complex curriculum to enhance the readability and reader’s interest.
- True Farm BrandingMar.~Oct.(2016) This project was developed to provide brand design for a community company in <2016 small brand and design development support program> in Regional Intellectual Property Center. The client was family-operating farm in Munkyeung city. They cultivated and sold mushrooms by name of ‘Chamnongwon’ which was the name of the farm. Their mushrooms were not distinguished from another because they had not special brand. First of all, we targeted 40s and 50s as main customers who could enjoy healthy and expensive mushrooms. And then we tried to develop mushroom brand(True Farm) to be familiar with the people by making high-class images. The logo consists of two elements: ‘T’ of ‘True Farm’; and pattern which is made by repeating mushroom shape. We also designed packages with rhythmical pattern that could be found in mushrooms’ wrinkle. We colored packages dark brown and dark grey to appeal luxury matching with mushrooms. We designed packages of dried Hericium erinaceum and Hericium erinaceum tea. We produced single supply and gift set of 2-3 bundles.
- Handong Misconduct 101 Oct.~Dec.(2014), Offset printing, page size 170×240mm, 150pp. This book shows dark sides behind honest, sincere, good images of the students at Handong Global University. The patterns of bad behavior were classified into four parts: in dormitory, in Yangdeok (the name of a town outside the school), in library, and romance. I worked together with three team members and my part was the Chapter 3 library. To mean that students misconduct happened invisibly and stealthily and to make readers feel something bad, I chose dark blue as the main color, applied Duotone to all the photos, and used the graphic elements in dark colors.
