Born in 1996 in Brussels, Belgium, Alejandro Subiotto is an interdisciplinary conceptual artist currently living and working in London, UK. He primarily works in photography. Alejandro grew up in a multicultural environment–he speaks five languages. Through his practice, explores the contradictions and riddles posed by European multiculturalism. This is something he explores through collaborations with set designers for shoots. His work has been featured internationally: in Der Greif, at Atelier Las Meninas in Brussels, Belgium and at the Granoff Center for Creative Arts in Providence, RI, USA. - PERSONA Collection I: Joyous ApocalypseShot the campaing for Persona's inaugural collection of hoodies inspired by Egon Schiele’s striking portraits painted just as the Austrian empire began to crumble. The visuals are printed Direct to Garment, with a carefully selected color combination hand painted on top. For the photoshoot, I was creatively inspired by James Turrell, and the oranges that grow in my hometown of Valencia, Spain.
