Communication Design is the presentation of information through visuals and often includes a combination of different disciplines. My work has included animation, graphic design, printmaking, photography and, of course, illustration. I believe my versatility is my greatest strength. I am eager to learn and evolve my strengths and weaknesses.
An out of this world brief is right up my alley. I am looking forward to exploring more techniques, and I have a driving passion for bringing Risograph printing further into the spotlight here in Scotland.

- D&AD New Blood 2020 TANGRAMS - Together we thrive - HSBCAn advertising campaign for HSBC to illustrate their brand promise, “together we thrive”. The illustrations and animations will be displayed in multiple locations in airports including walkways, check-ins and terminals. The Tangram puzzle is used to mimic the brand identity of HSBC. The shapes can also be combined to make figures that symbolise the five pillars of human prosperity that HSBC is actively involved in. Using stop motion animation to capture peoples attention and bring the shapes
- The RisolutionThe Risolution is a website offering free opensource guides to tackle common mental health issues as well as promote Riso printing. The first guide combines Riso printing and stress management, all in one handy pocket-sized guide. The PDF layers of the Riso print can be downloaded from the website and printed on a Riso printer with any three inks. The guides can also be downloaded instantly to a user’s phone, so they can carry it in their pocket, even if they can’t actually make it themselves.
- The Blood of One Small NationThe project explores the production of single malt whisky in Scotland. The artist book is a step by step guide to the method and the magic that goes into whisky. I scribbled down a quote from an interview with Heather Day and I’ve held onto that scrap of paper for years - she describes her own process as “something intentional paired with something chaotic.” This attitude towards making art makes me think about what we as humans need to thrive in general - intention and purpose but also the possibility of something unexpected. These are about balance and rejuvenation. Making them felt equal par
