About me
I am a fairly recent graduate who is currently working in the fashion e-commerce industry as a Digital Content Producer. My role responsibilities involve planning and updating all digital content online on a frequent basis, across all seven of our international markets. I also work within the Digital Experience team to strategise our customer experience journeys across different devices for all promotions. Aside from that, I work with the design team to design, produce and coordinate site assets, and ensure that our features are on brand and tested thoroughly. Prior to beginning my employment, I completed a BSc Hons in Web Technologies, studying modules in the following subjects specifically: Digital Design, UX/UI Design, Web Usability and a Information Architecture, Front End Development, and Content Management Systems. My interests lie heavily in digital design and UX/UI design, and I am very eager to progress my career in that direction.
Projects
  • High-Fidelity Prototypes for University Game
High-Fidelity Prototypes for University GameDuring my User Interface module at University, I was given the task of designing the interface for a game of my choosing for potential University students wanting to find out information about the University of Greenwich. I was asked to make high-fidelity prototypes to visually show my game idea, I created them using Axure and Photoshop. I chose to create a virtual world where the user is guided by a student character. The user is instructed by the student throughout the game using text prompts. The user navigates through the game by selecting different areas of the University, e.g. the library. Once they reach an area they can learn more about each department by clicking on various objects dotted around the screen. When the objects are clicked, information is relayed to the user by sound and text.
  • Promotional Poster for London Music Event
Promotional Poster for London Music EventThis was a University project where I was set the task of creating a poster for print that would promote a London music event. I opted to design for an existing event held by a reputable record label - ENTER. ENTER have their own existing font and colour scheme for their branding, which I incorporated into my own designs. As the event was called 'The Takeover', I worked with the idea of the night taking over London. Using Photoshop I edited pictures of the London skyline to give a silhouette illusion, and then added dancing figures over the skyline. The MINUS branding is used as a moon eclipse in my poster, sitting over the London skyline. There are two versions of the poster, both using black and white only.
  • Storytelling Animatic & Motion Video
Storytelling Animatic & Motion VideoThis was a University project that required me to write a short fictional story and then create storyboards depicting the story visually. These hand drawn storyboards were then turned into an animatic narrated by myself, it was created using Adobe After Effects.

I was invited to assist on a photoshoot where the aim of the day was to update two models portfolio photos. The shoot was fashion based, involving many costume changes. My role involved assisting the photographer in adjusting the lighting on the set, as well as altering the set layout for each costume change. It was a rewarding experience as I got a better understanding of how a fashion shoot is constructed, with knowledge of lighting and angling to achieve great, professional results.

     - London, United Kingdom
I recently completed a three year bachelors degree in Web Technologies at the University of Greenwich. The course covered a wealth of subjects relating to design and web development. Modules covered included: Game Design Visual Storytelling Web Design Web Development Multimedia Design for Print & Digital Front & Back End coding languages Database Management Designing for E-commerce UI & UX Design Aside from the extensive skill set that I acquired during the course, I also took with me a real passion for creating desirable, functional interfaces for use on digital platforms. I studied a wealth of design principles, ranging from mobile-first design, responsive design and the differences needed to be considered when designing for print. I acquired good knowledge of current HTML, CSS and Javascript practices and how they can be applied to make beautiful web interfaces. I also got the opportunity to take modules in UX design, which allowed me to gain a better understanding of designing for the specific user and for their emotions and needs, with use of typography, layout, imagery, and colour themes. I also learnt how to create wireframes using Axure technology to assist in the development of these designs.
