About me
An enthusiastic designer with excellent attention to detail. I am an ambitious, self-motivated and down to earth person, always looking for new challenges in the world of interior and graphic design. I love colour, pattern, cheese, travel, magazines, photography, furniture design, weaving and life drawing.
Projects
  • Chapter. magazine
Chapter. magazineChapter. is a lifestyle magazine targeted at young people who may be starting out in their adult life both in terms of their professional career and first home. The expected age range is between 20 and 35. These people may be in their first ‘proper’ job, on the first rung of their chosen career ladder and on a starting salary. One of the focuses of this magazine is living on a budget; whilst this audience have an interest in style and design, they have limited funds. The magazine consists of five sections: features, food, travel, design ideas, and 'Have you...'. The sections are divided up and introduced by a pattern which is individual to each section.
  • Dream Building, RIBA 2014
Dream Building, RIBA 2014This was a university branding project for the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) conference 2014. The brief was to design a brand identity for the conference and then apply this to an A1 poster, an A3 leaflet (when flat) – this included a timetable of events, and a list of speakers and events with descriptions – and another item of our choice.
  • Lion the Weak
Lion the WeakThis was a university project in which we had to brand a band. I chose a band named Lion the Weak for this project. We had to design the brand identity and apply this to a number of items, including packaging for a vinyl, a lyric booklet, a video and a third item of our own choice – I chose to produce a set of 4 postcards which could be sold or handed out at gigs with band members signatures on or with details of future events.
  • ATypI 2014
ATypI 2014This was a final year university project in which I branded the ATypI conference 2014 and designed, typeset and produced the handbook for the conference attendees. This project really focussed on typographic detail, something I very much enjoy. It was quite a challenge to create a visually interesting system for the conference handbook that was flexible enough to work for all the different types of information that had to be included.
  • Keeping the memory alive
Keeping the memory aliveMy poster designed for the 'Keeping the memory alive' International Poster Competition 2012, to comemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
  • The Preston Rag
The Preston RagA final year editorial project for which I chose to design a hyper-local newspaper for the village of Preston in Hertfordshire. I drew all the illustrations by hand as I felt this would help to give the newspaper the feel I was looking for – something quirky and full of personality.
