About me
I’m a fine art graduate with a BA Hons and HND Graphic and Digital Design. I’ve displayed my artwork in exhibitions such as the Canterbury Art Fair and Parallax Art Fair (in Chelsea and Pall Mall). I’m very passionate about creating designs and can keep to the brand guidelines or create new ones depending on business needs. I have key skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, photography and painting. I have strong compositional skills, typographic knowledge and layout design as shown on my portfolio website. I have included a variety of projects (web banners, flyers, books etc) which demonstrated my understanding of branding including consumer insight (Lush campaign work). I am a confident team player and would love to produce ideas and help to deliver the best results for the company as well the client base.

Facebook Halloween Social Media Post 2020I started using the Figma software and I noticed that it has social media frames so decided to try and design something on there for the first time. This is the result. I designed similar ones for Twitter and Instagram.
  • Stop-motion
Stop-motionThis was a university project. The brief was to produce a stop motion that lasted no more than 2mins. Mine tells the life story of a shrew (a type of rodent). Backgrounds were hand-painted and the animals were hand-drawn. Sound was added and the final film was edited on the computer. I received 77%. The storyboards can be viewed on https://amountaine123.myportfolio.com/stop-motion-animation.
  • The Voyage
The VoyageI designed my own book cover for my story titled 'The Voyage' which explains the perils of migration.

any segment magazine issue 01 previewDuring a time where recognition for artists is becoming harder and harder, even when the market is saturated with such talented people, I decided to create a side project in order to give people wider recognition and deserving publicity associated with their fabulous work, a project that included a celebration of the modern art world and all the perceivable delights that come with it. It was also started in support of charity, for those who may be suffering the most at this moment. In the first

    • Currently I'm helping by improving the team's marketing strategy. • I have been updating their website by entering data (anonymously) such as service users' reviews about various local health organisations. • I researched on how health institutions have implemented ideas for supporting carers and then created tender documents on Microsoft Word accordingly. • I researched local various religious organisations who Healthwatch Bromley hadn't been in touch with. I then created a table/spreadsheet on Excel 2010 which included names and contact details.

    • I deal with public enquiries about the museum artefacts and activities. • In 2014 I was the project leader of a group who designed a volunteer interpretation guide for the Horniman’s Extremes Exhibition by making sure it contained illustrations of various artefacts, information about the displays and questions to ask the public. I learned how to work to a tight deadline, was able to solve issues (such as lack of work from a team member) to achieve the best results possible. I was then nominated by the Horniman for the London Volunteers in Museums Award in Bringing Innovation ( certificated ) and can now use strong communication skills to provide a positive museum experience for the public.
