I’m a fine art graduate with a BA Hons and HND Graphic and Digital Design. I’ve displayed my artwork in exhibitions such as the Canterbury Art Fair and Parallax Art Fair (in Chelsea and Pall Mall). I’m very passionate about creating designs and can keep to the brand guidelines or create new ones depending on business needs. I have key skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, photography and painting. I have strong compositional skills, typographic knowledge and layout design as shown on my portfolio website. I have included a variety of projects (web banners, flyers, books etc) which demonstrated my understanding of branding including consumer insight (Lush campaign work). I am a confident team player and would love to produce ideas and help to deliver the best results for the company as well the client base.Locked Pro Plan feature
• Currently I'm helping by improving the team's marketing strategy. • I have been updating their website by entering data (anonymously) such as service users' reviews about various local health organisations. • I researched on how health institutions have implemented ideas for supporting carers and then created tender documents on Microsoft Word accordingly. • I researched local various religious organisations who Healthwatch Bromley hadn't been in touch with. I then created a table/spreadsheet on Excel 2010 which included names and contact details.
• I deal with public enquiries about the museum artefacts and activities. • In 2014 I was the project leader of a group who designed a volunteer interpretation guide for the Horniman’s Extremes Exhibition by making sure it contained illustrations of various artefacts, information about the displays and questions to ask the public. I learned how to work to a tight deadline, was able to solve issues (such as lack of work from a team member) to achieve the best results possible. I was then nominated by the Horniman for the London Volunteers in Museums Award in Bringing Innovation ( certificated ) and can now use strong communication skills to provide a positive museum experience for the public.
• I worked collaboratively as part of the communications team for this mental health charity and my duties included designing print material for the marketing department such as posters, flyers etc using Indesign. I had a good eye for design and included copywriting into each one that promoted the charity's workshops and events throughout the year. I created designs in keeping with their brand guidelines. • Work was designed professionally and completed in a short time. I created my own ideas and also provided advise to others. • I created their web banners and infographics for their Twitter social media page.
Main focus of the course was learning how to conceptualise ideas, communicate visually by creating designs that displayed a narrative and incorporated the use of semiotics. Learned how to use Indesign, Illustrator Photoshop. Produced posters, leaflets, book layouts using various grid systems, stop motion etc. During my branding and advertising assignment I was part of a group of students that needed to create a campaign and became the market researcher. Also learnt about art direction and different elements of typography.
Learned various types of printmaking ( etching, screen printing etc ), methods of painting, drawing and sculpture (welding etc). In 2007 I participated in a group project alongside Antony Gormely to produce part of the setting for the channel 4 film ’Margate Exodus.’ we were given a lorry container ( 40ft long) and had to turn it into a church made from recycled goods.
