Leading up to 10 years in Adland. WOW.
It’s been a journey of transitioning chaotic creative departments into agile spaces for lateral thinking, building critical partnerships between agencies and production partners, preaching craft as a long term proposition for creative agencies, and bringing together the most unconventional of teams.
But most of all, it’s been about meeting, working and learning from an incredible roster of international talent.
Eternal days at the office: been there. Low budget, high expectations: done that. Changing the world: still pending.
In the past couple of years I’ve been studying how brands can positively impact people and planet, and how embedding sustainability into their advertising
and coms can bring profit at the same time. My goal is to work for purpose-led organisations that have a clear sustainability agenda - or the desire for one - and want to use creative ideas to grow their business positively.
Let’s make it happen.
Projects
- BUD LIGHT - EUROS 2020Briefed on a Monday and going live on Saturday, Bud Light wanted to be the first brand to cash in on the excitement of the Euro fixtures draft. With 15 different options of who England would potentially be playing, we got ready for any outcome, and that was because we managed to put a freelance team together in record time and working around the clock as Kindred didn’t have the internal resources for a project like this.
- Nespresso Coffee ExpertiseMost consumers don’t know or care about the expertise and quality of the coffee they drink. They just know the colour of the capsule they like. Which makes it pretty hard to tell the difference between a Nespresso capsule and a compatible capsule. Even the colour might be the same. But the capsules are only the tip of the iceberg. It’s the stories that lie beneath the surface of the coloured capsules that truly differentiate Nespresso from its look-alike competitors. To tell these stories we created the deepest stories ever told in 5 Facebook canvases, each representing the story of a Nespresso capsule. Each canvas supported more than 3 minutes of 3D modelling and animation. Production budget for 5 canvases: 90K euros. Production budget social asset pack per canvas: 35K euro. Some anecdotes: Due to extremely low budget, I had to find the best freelancers in 3D modelling, animation and post production, creating for this project a one time collective that I self-named SEGA. The formas we created was so sophisticated, that it broke the Facebook Canvas, showcasing all the app's flaws. We later spent almost 3 months fixing together with Facebook engineers before we could publish. Most challenging part was following up with so many stakeholders remotely, so to create a long distance relationship with them, I sent them mexican food once in a while and a massage therapist on one of the long nights of work.
