Projects
  • Spinnup blog posts & how-to guides
Spinnup blog posts & how-to guidesI have written dozens of blog posts and how-to guides for Spinnup, Universal Music's distribution service for independent musicians. Topics have ranged from self-promotion for musicians to how to create a great remix, with many SEO-focused pieces among my work for the platform.
  • Beats By Dre
Beats By Dre*Client: Beats By Dre* *Role: Copywriter* *Agency: Cornerstone* Speaker + headphone company Beats By Dre enlisted Cornerstone to bring to life a guerrilla marketing campaign around the 2016 BRIT Awards where singer/rapper Craig David created cover versions of tracks by some of the nominees. I came up the the strapline 'Born To Redo It', a play on the name of his debut album, 'Born To Do It'. The line appeared on the cover of Metro newspaper across the UK, seen by 3.2 million people.
  • Universal
UniversalClient: Universal (Polydor / Mercury) Role: Copywriter / Digital Strategy Agency: Influence Digital (United Agency) I worked as a copywriter across the entire Mercury Records roster, writing website and newsletter copy for the likes of Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Chase & Status, The Killers and many others. United also managed the social presences of Modestep and OneRepublic for Polydor, for whom I wrote posts and devised social campaigns. We helped Modestep create a Facebook and Twitter 'takeover virus' to promote their debut album 'Evolution Theory' which gave the impression their computer had been taken over by Modestep and sent posts to their social networks on their behalf. Thousands of tweets and Facebook posts were sent linking back to the campaign and the album pre-order link.
