About me

I am a creative, hard-working freelance writer and literary enthusiast. I recently completed an internship at the literary scouting agency Maria B. Campbell Associates (London). I am strong both reading manuscripts and producing reports for literary agencies and scouts, and am currently looking for opportunities to grow my experience in publishing. As a freelance writer and content creator, I write, edit, and strategize creative copy for a variety of businesses and start-ups. From my time as a Content Manager Blenheim Chalcot, the U.K.'s largest venture builder, I have experience managing a number of diverse, remote contacts to deliver creative content to an exceptionally high standard, on time. As a freelance reader, I read manuscripts (both fiction, non-fiction, and children’s/YA) and produce high-quality reports, synopses, and targeted recommendations for clients. First Class in English Literature (BA Hons) from King's College London, 2017.

        Education

        2017

BA (Hons) English Language and Literature (1.1)

        King's College London

        Sep 2014 - Jul 2017
        • London, United Kingdom
        • In 2017, I completed my undergraduate degree in English Literature at King’s College London in June this year with a First Class Honours. I worked hard throughout my degree to achieve the best results in order to realize my long-held dream of pursuing a career in the arts and writing. Now I'm looking to get my foot in the door in my first graduate job. I am passionate about literature, and especially about writing, whether it be academic articles, prose, poetry, or writing for the stage and screen, because I have an inherent curiosity for characters and an active interest in language, and I can think of nothing more interesting than getting to pursue this personal interest as a career. In my final year, I attained a First on my Dissertation, entitled "Subversive Potentiality in Aztlán: The Emergence of a Queer Chicano Utopia". My research focused on Chicano writers such as Cherríe Moraga and Gloria Anzaldúa, and the intersection of Queer and Racial theories of Utopia in their writing.
