- SKYPE.COMAfter winning the best practices Webby award for Skype.com, Poke were tasked to help re-brand Skype.com after the Microsoft acquisition. Inspired by the way circles structured both their brand mark and iconography, we created a new minimal graphical language that perfectly placed them into being part of the Microsoft family. - The Skype Collaboration ProjectSkype wanted to connect with a younger, tech-savvy audience. Since launching ten years ago, it’s evolved into a sophisticated collaboration tool but is still best known for video calling friends and family. To showcase Skype’s lesser-known features, we created a new editorial platform designed to inspire and enable young creatives in the fashion industry while demonstrating how the technology can help support their creative ambitions. Our in-house editorial team of fashion journalists, filmmakers and editors created a regular stream of unique content. In just three months, we produced hundreds of exclusive articles, interviews, behind-the-scenes videos and insider tips to give emerging talent a unique insight into the world of fashion. The Skype Collaboration Project has had more than 4 million visitors and 400 million social media impressions. Our collaboration with Victoria Beckham made headlines around the world, including the front cover of Grazia, The Daily Mail, E! News and Good Morning America.
- THE SKYPE COLLABORATION PROJECTI was part of the editorial team on The Skype Collaboration Project - Skype’s new online editorial platform designed to empower and inspire a younger audience. It aimed to demonstrate how Skype’s range of lesser-known technology can help support young creatives and their ambitions in the fashion industry. I came up with editorial ideas, researched them and wrote them up into articles. I also interviewed influential fashion figure Jen Mankins and worked with up-and-coming photographer Jonnie Craig. After The Skype Collaboration Project was established as a credible editorial platform, it became the vehicle to tell Victoria Beckham’s story of her rise in the fashion world. All in all, the project gained 400 million social media impressions and the site had more than 4 million visitors!
