About me
I'm Dan Cavicchia, a London-based graphic designer. I’ve earned my stripes on projects for music labels, club nights, festivals and artists. I work with independent businesses as well as big brands, holding my focus on branding and identity. Clients I’ve worked for include Nike, the BBC, YouTube, Rimmel and Trustpilot.

  • Karlovci Film Festival
    Karlovci Film FestivalA visual identity I've designed for Karlovci Film Festival, a fast-growing independent festival based in Serbia. The main goal of this rebrand – being the event at its third edition – was switching from ‘local and rustic’ to International. The general look would appear consistent with the art world, and feel minimal, classy and elevated; but still, fresh and current.   • Frasers
    FrasersA set of billboards and a publication I designed for the Frasers clan. The brief was creating a visual celebration of the famous members of the Frasers family, in occasion of the Scottish Highland Games. This would present Frasers as a “brand” of excellence. I approached the project as a proper identity, aiming at a current and fun look that would unify printed pages and billboards.

  • Kocheria
    KocheriaA branding project I've curated for Kocheria, a Swiss cooking school. The shared purpose was creating an identity that felt minimal, classy and elevated, with a pinch of fresh and edgy. I immediately opted for Continua, an old-style typeface redrawn with a contemporary vision. I then added the concept of ‘flame’ to the logo system. The idea is literal, but also symbolic: it’s the flame used to cook your food, but it’s the flame that drives you to learn the art of cooking. By adding a strong B&W

    YouTube Decade ChartsFor the end of the decade, YouTube Music asked me to create the look for its worldwide campaign called ‘10s. A set of playlists divided by genre would represent the best songs of the decade. I approached the project as a proper brand identity and I came up with a concept focused on simplicity, unity and fun. The main idea was illustrating the number ‘10’ through different personalities and visual styles, depending on the musical genre. My design, in short, was a representation of the metamorphos

    BBC - Wasted On SomeWith the ‘Wasted on Some’ campaign, the BBC lures younger viewers to iPlayer with mockumentary-style ads starring some of its best comedy talent. My role was designing a set of OOH print billboards for London and the rest of the UK. Designed for BBC Creative.
