- GABRIELAA short experimental documentary, Gabriela is Kotiga’s love letter to her best friend, Gabriela; but also to herself, and to the ever-confusing sphere of the in-between they both inhabit. It is a story about two unbounded lives; two young women who share the experience of un-belonging. A layered exploration of the female voice, subjectivity and power, Gabriela fuses the subject and the object, posing the question who are stories really about; and can they ever be only about one person.
- Swings + RoundaboutsAn art exhibition show curated by Deana Kotiga and Ellen Fagan explored the influence of the physical, cultural, and social surroundings of London and how they affect mental and emotional wellbeing. Deriving inspiration from the rise of common mental health disorders in the UK such as anxiety and depression, which have soared in the past ten years, “Swings and Roundabouts” urges us to reconsider the surroundings we observe on a daily basis and question how our environment makes us feel.
