About me
Hello, I’m Debs Gerrard, a Right Brain Conductor. I am a Creative Director with over 11 years international experience in the industry. In this time I’ve created work that’s won at almost every industry award show. In 2014 I was recognised in Campaign Faces to watch and was most recently a winner in Creative Equals future leaders #CEFutureLeaders. But perhaps more relevantly for over 7 years I worked at Albion, an agency where we specialised in partnering with disruptive brands and products like Zoopla, King (Candy Crush) and Made.com. I loved driving those fast paced collaborations. As a Creative Director, I’m passionate about inspiring (and educating) customers and am proud of delivering work that has done that to the effect of driving product adoption and scaling global brands. I’m driven by building and leading teams as well as innovating in ways of working to drive exceptional outcomes. I believe collaboration and integration is key to everything I’ve achieved. In my career, I’ve not only guided creatives in their thinking but worked to inspire and enable UX teams, interaction designers, product designers, PR consultants and clients to use their right brain. I’ve also pioneered creative ways of working that put clients at the heart of a blended team, so working hand in hand with brand marketers and broader stakeholders is a familiar and inspiring concept. I’m fluid in working across all channels and platforms and thinking in an integrated way from the first conversation to final outcomes. I also see data and experimentation as key to developing great work. I was recently invited to rewrite the ‘Creative Development Process’ module of the IPA’s revamped foundation certificate; helping all newcomers to the industry to adopt this way of creative thinking.
