About me
I am an artist who specialises in Natural Dyes currently collating a bank of knowledge of historical dye recipes. I am currently based in The Netherlands working as a Dyer at Studio Claudy Jongstra, deepening this knowledge of botanical colour. As a freelancer with interests and skills ranging in installation, botanicals and natural colour, I am looking to strengthen and deepen my knowledge through research and practical work. Always interested in collaborating, facilitating workshops and creating spaces.

Artists Ffion Taverner and Penny Booth travelled to the Atacama Desert in late Februar
  • Natural Dyes Workshop
Natural Dyes WorkshopA workshop that ran alongside HERBARIUM, an exhibition between The Plant Room and University of Leeds in response to the work of field botanist Ida. M Roper (1865-1935). In this workshop I taught how to extract colour from plants and flowers working in a variety of techniques. Bundle dyes and small swatches of colour were created with seasonal ingredients.
