My role of Junior Producer sits under Head Producer, being part of the production team for a lifestyle YouTube Channel. My role comprises of -
- Video Editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects)
- In-house studio set up (camera, sound, lighting)
- Shooting long form and social short form video content on location and in studio (Sony FS5, Sony A7S, GoPro, Canon DSLR)
- Booking kit, studio time, location scouting, and being aware of any logistical problems
- Uploading content to YouTube, including all aspects of uploading to YT (tags, metadata, end screens, cards etc)
- Curating new and exciting content ideas for the channel, while actively searching and reaching out to potential collaborators and brands
I also fill the role of Social Manager, working across social platforms to brand and market a lifestyle YouTube Channel. This role comprises of -
- Day to day management of social media platforms (YouTube, Twitter and Instagram)
- Creating and developing social only content video and pro-active ideas (e.g. Instagram Story quiz)
- Daily analytic management and scheduling on social platforms, monitoring videos, social performance and important metrics (such as watch time, retention and traffic sources) via YouTube Analytics, Google Analytics, Twitter and Instagram Analytics
- Creating social content (images, promotional templates etc) for socials (Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro)
- Using Google Trends to justify YouTube video titles, tags and descriptions, also as a gage of trending topics for on trend content.
- Reaching out to appropriate brands and content creators for collaboration opportunities
- Working closely with Head of Audience to audit YouTube channel and to find solutions for underperforming content
