Giulia Mazzucconi is an Italian born Graphic Designer, Illustrator and Video Maker.
After graduating in Graphic Design & Illustration at Central Saint Martins, she started working in different creative studios as a freelancer.
For the past two years she worked as lead designer for the music startup Pirate Studios, where she mastered her illustration, animation, video making and visual communication skills.
Her work is inspired by authenticity, truthfulness and unfiltered realities.
Giulia’s work has been featured on 1Granary and other magazines.
Projects
- Berlin Outreach for Pirate StudiosAs part of the Berlin Offline Outreach Project, I designed a series of assets to introduce and promote Pirate Studios around Berlin, with the main aim of building relationships with venues, music shops and music colleges. The final artwork is the result of a series of typographic experiments carried by manually distorting text using scanner and photocopier.
- Funky FreshOriginally produced and sold at the Central Saint Martins winter market as a set of stickers, this series of funky fresh illustrations has been recently updated following a new tighter colour palette and stronger line work. It’s now ready to be produced as a set of temporary tattoos to be tested on guinea pigs artsy fartsy friends.

As the user moves the interface cursor, visuals and sounds are generated as a feedback, which guide the user experience and influence the entire generative process. - BackboneBackbone is a short documentary about Angelina Scopelliti, the backbone of my family and its restaurant. This short film aims to redefine and challenge the strong & independent woman stereotype, which supposedly wants strong women never to show weakness and walk alone, always independent of others.
