  • Nina Simone - Vinyl Cover Redesign
    Nina Simone - Vinyl Cover RedesignRedesign a vinyl cover of your choice. The design on the cover must be a handmade design which tells the story or depicts the song or album. I tried to portray the feeling of ‘breaking down’ and ‘breaking out’ through the medium of plaster-filled balloons, bold colours and art direction. I made a series of wax figures by making a mould and pouring molten wax into it. plaster filled balloons represent weight and pressures and the red cable ties signify anger, frustration and restriction.

    Aitch - The OttoThe Otto is a new property development in Hackney overlooking Hackney Downs. Steve Edge Design were working on branding concept highlighting the links with the green open spaces of the park, so commissioned Aitch to create a suite of illustrations representing natural species local to the urban park. Without wanting to stray too close to traditional botanical illustration, but still retaining a specificity in the illustrations, the result was a distinctive but imaginative look which was applied

    At Duzi there was a strong focus on storytelling and narrative at creative concept stage. I was working in a small team which required client-facing skills, communication and project management, which ensured that I was always sharing work that is presented in a suitably client-facing manner. As a brand designer I was creating visual identities starting with strategy and then developing the concept and finally the execution. Notable brands include: Punchy Drinks & TRIP drinks.
