I am an Illustrator, designer and crafter who love all things cute, girly and pastel! I take inspiration from Japanese Kawaii culture and aesthetics like cottage core as I like to take inspiration from my surroundings in the English country side as well as incorporating my love for animals within my work. I love to illustrate both digitally as well as traditionally and like to play around with other mediums such as animating, designing and even crafting my own felt wool dolls!
Projects
- Mix and match: Kawaii fashion bookKawaii culture (the culture of cute from Japan) is an in-depth culture that has influenced art, food, music, and mannerisms to name a few. However, it’s fashion and style elements are the most prevalent of this lifestyle. In this project I have highlighted several styles related to kawaii culture. I have created a mix and match book as a way to explore kawaii fashion and to play with the diversity of kawaii culture.
- Covid BriefThis is a project in which I collaborated with several other designers to contribute to a Charity zine that donated money to Jordan's trust: a charity that helps disadvantaged young people. I decided to create some cute felt wool dolls and make it into some form of propaganda esque pieces of work.
