Would love to expand my network with other illustrators and other like minded creatives. Let me know if you would like to connect!

  • Hi Hannah! Good to meet you!
I'm a branding and graphic designer but recently picked up my art journey again and started illustrating. I hadn't illustrated anything is several years but it's so good to be back! Now I am looking if I can get some freelance work or perhaps sell some art prints or something.

Would love to know how you got started and where you want to go!

You can see my portfolio here: https://www.behance.net/anduncommon
  • @Hannah Broadbent Hi Hannah, I'm really sorry for getting back to you so late. Shelby Degarmo's work is so euphoric, her colours remind me of my childhood and Care Bears. The people/brands that inspire you are joyous and dreamlike, I like it. To be honest I feel like I'm still trying to find my inspiration, I have yet to find my design style. I feel like the more things I try, sooner or later I'll figure out the style that really makes me happy.

It's all a journey for me, but I feel that's the best part.

And don't worry you weren't waffling.

  • Hi Hannah!
I’m on a course doing illustrations as well and would be happy to connect with you. :)
  • Hello! I would love to connect. I currently mainly create illustrations for my organisation Where are the Girlbands, but I am always looking to expand my range of illustrative work. It would be lovely to learn more about yourself and your creative practice!
  • @avi Magonet Hi there Avi! I love all things cute and pastel for what I like to design! I get very inspired by Japanese kawaii culture and the cottage core aesthetic espiecally at the moment! And wow 15 years in the fashion industry that sounds amazing, what have you worked on in the past? It also sounds exciting being able to branch out and wanting to do your own thing, I am currently trying to start my journey at the moment so it's still baby steps for me. At the moment I have been working on creating a collection of some 'Fairy animals' as silly as that sounds, it's manily to get the creative juices flowing and to practice a bit more on my illustrations. Is there anything you are working on at the moment? :)
  • @Christina-Marie Clarke Hi Christina! That's a good quest, I do love alot of different types of illustrative and creative work, it's why I would consider myself a jack of all trades when it comes to Illustration and design in general; If the work thinks outside the box it tends to get my cogs going. I would say in terms of inspirations I am inspired by Japanese kawaii (cute) culture as well as nature and animals, I geniunly gravitate and get inspired by the cottage core aesthetic also for this reason too! I am also inspired by artists like Shelby Degarmo who creates these cute and beautiful oil paintings, Pip and Pop who creates these amazing 3D instillations and Miss Candyholic which is a fashion brand who creates dreamy and beautiful pieces of clothing that I find inspiring towards my own work. There are so many other creatives/designers that Inspire me but those are a handful of people/ brands that I really admire. I am also getting my footing into the industry and have an interest in many facets of the creative industry ( apologies for all the waffeling!). What would you say inspires you in your work too?
  • Hi Hannah, it would be lovely to connect with you. Is there a type of illustration you particularly enjoy? Who or what are your inspirations? I have an interest in visual identity, motion graphics, and storytelling. I'm quite new to the professional world, exploring the creating industry through the non-traditional route which is an adventure, and exciting. I'd love to know more about you
  • hi Hannah, I'd like to connect with you. What's your vibe design wise? I've worked in fast fashion for about 15 years, but I'm branching out into my own thing currently, so trying to discover what my vibe is outside of the industry. What are you working on? I'd love to know more
