About me
Having been a graphic designer for over 30 years, I am taking a change of career and entering the world of education. Currently, I am studying for an MA in Communication Design at Falmouth University and will be starting a PhD in September.

  • Top Trumps - A prison game
    Top Trumps - A prison gameRather than the traditional 30 card deck, Death Row Top Trumps has 167 cards and two Jokers. Using the information from the Death Penalty Information Centre DPIC, each card indicates the 167 death row exonerations since 1976. The Joker is taken by OJ Simpson. The card design is based on the classic vintage style of the 1970’s. The back design has an electric chair and vacant cell, again emulating the style used in that era.     Blackjack WhitejackInspired by Book 3 of the Innocent series, using the information from the Death Penalty Information Centre DPIC, I decided to create a pack of traditional playing cards. Using the same principles as the book, the race of the individual are indicated as either white or black paper stock, with African American, Latino, American Native and Other race, using black and Caucasian indicated in white.
