19 years young, the sun blazes hard over north London. Fresh out of sixth form she delves straight into a crisis of self-examination, emerging ready to take the world by storm. Her creativity is fuelled by her Somali roots and western lifestyle. Her affinity for words combined with her unapologetic character means she is now ready to influence culture. It’s not a stretch to call her potentially revolutionary. Iman does not make mediocre work, but work that you wish you created. Her dream job has always been to be able to use words and influence people's lives. The D&AD new blood shift course has changed her life and now she's ready to make a positive impact as a creative copywriter by answering briefs, making ads and living her best life.
- Can't wait to forget youA common denominator for adverts about Alzheimer's is they all evoke sadness and pity which is boring. This campaign provokes the public. Depending on the art direction, the copy can mean different things allowing experimentation and conversation with the public. "Can't wait to forget you" is a multidimensional message. It can address verbal abuse, be hopeful and also tongue in cheek. This project is student work and was completed as part of my portfolio.
