Originally hailing from Yorkshire but living and working between London and Berlin, I'm a confident and creative designer, self-motivated, self-sufficient and coming to you with a strong background in print and digital media. I have worked extensively in the garment and production industry designing and consulting for musicians, brands and retailers alike.
In the last year, I was appointed as head designer for Antioch Clothing, a fast and reactive streetwear brand. I have become a versatile designer by working on projects ranging from the development of product which involves visiting our factory in the sampling and production phase. But also being heavily involved in all aspects of the brand including designing catalogues to Ecommerce web design, attending local and international trade shows and photo shoot logistics and management. On top of this, I have gained good communication and organisation skills by attending and contributing ideas in regular meetings, liaising with external buyers for exclusive projects brands such as ASOS and Topman, being reactive to sales data, highlighting key drivers is a crucial part of working with these retail outlets and using this information to inform designs moving forward. In the last few seasons I have also seen high volumes of Antioch stock into Zalando, Topman & ASOS which shows how I am capable of designing commercially successful products.
I also work as a print designer for Worn By, a London-based clothing brand influenced mainly by rock n’ roll heritage. I worked closely with music licensors such as Warner and Universal and had some of my designs approved by Peter Saville, the iconic graphic designer behind most of the Joy Division and New Order album artworks.
Until recently I ran my own online shop named The New Tradition, for which I had complete creative control. This experience has given me an insight into the importance of a clearly-defined brand identity and target audience, as well as how these both influence the design of clothing, marketing materials and any other creative output. My ongoing market research process involves identifying recent trends in the fashion and graphic design industries, and where appropriate, implementing these within my company.
