Hi! I'm Kitty- a highly skilled freelance Graphic Designer based in Reading. I specialise in branding, brand implementation and digital design, and I have a real love for getting involved in all stages of the design process; hands on development of projects from idea generation to delivery. Since graduating from the University of Leeds in 2014, I have gained experience in-house, in agencies and working freelance, working with clients such as Disney, Toyota, Wunder2, Harrods and Royal Caribbean.Locked Pro Plan feature
Working on a variety of projects ranging from large and small scale print, web design, e-mail newsletter design, Presentation design, vector animation, vector illustration, branding and brand implementation.
Responsible for all aspects of digital communication for cosmetics brand Wunder2. Day-to-day duties included e-mail newsletters, digital banners and website updates. During this time I project managed the launch of many new landing pages across the site; this entailed scheduling photoshoots, art direction, photo editing, liaising with developers and working with the data analytics team to find key insights. The updated Landing Pages saw an increase in CTRs of 70%.
A year spent travelling and working across Canada and the US. This allowed me to experience new places and cultures and advance my photography skills while doing so. During this time I kept up to date with new design software and trends by completing part-time digital, print and animation design work for local companies from both England and Canada.
The main focus of this project was to teach local entrepreneurs from rural communities business skills to help them grow their own ideas into profitable businesses. Working as part of a multinational team meant I was not only able to increase my understanding of other cultures, but also develop important skills such as communication and team building.
My time at Brandwidth allowed me to progress to a mid-weight design role. This role involved liaising with Account Managers to establish concepts and multiple design routes to present back to clients. I was able to lead a variety of projects for brands such as Royal Caribbean, Citroën and Monster Jobs; independently crafting design strategies to meet and exceed client's needs.
I was able to work amongst a great team to deliver designs for accounts such as Toyota, IHG and JTI; strict brand guidelines and standards meant a keen eye for detail was needed. Projects for these accounts were diverse and included website design, app design, digital content design, poster and brochure design.
Day to day duties included creating promotions and content for the Disney UK website. I was very fortunate to gain a lot of responsibility; designing webpage layouts for partnerships with Harrods and also project managing the launch of the ‘Minnie and You’ webpage. While working at Disney I greatly improved my technical skills; gaining a basic understanding of HTML coding and a variety of CMS’s including Drupal.
