Founder and Producer at 'That Girl That Edits' for over 4 years experience at the a female run London-based collective of filmmakers, spearheaded by the producer/director duo myself (Lauren Smith) and partners. Creating cinematic films that are as narratively compelling as they are visually stunning, no matter the budget. My role as Producer requires me to create and organise a cast and crew. Neutering the ideas from start to finish. Casting the right models for the brand and negotiating budgets with the clients. Overseeing all aspects of the film process and final product.
Duties Include... • Design and create Model Comp Cards for Image, Development and Main Commercial Board using Page Plus Software. • Contributions to packages sent out • Greeting guests appropriately and dealing with 'Walk-in's' • Taking Polaroid’s, updates and Intro/requested Videos. • Update the Models Diaries and Chart, on Mediaslide. Making sure all the information is correct and up to date. • Print Books and update Image or Main Books using Mediaslide, in preparation for castings. • File all Tests, Editorial and Look book images. Image search material for all models, making sure all the dates and team are correct. • Chasing Images from clientele. • Photocopy, Scan, File and Edit tear sheets from Editorials. • File Visa's, Call sheets and Contracts between agencies and clientele. • Daily upkeep and posts of the agencies social media on all platforms, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. • Chaperon Models to castings. • Ad-hoc duties
Duties included.... • Organise and Prepare for Casting at Clientele Studio or designated casting area. Clientele Included, Vivienne Westwood, J.JS Lee, Bora Aksu, Palmer Harding, Sophia Webster and Emilio de la Morena. • Take Polaroid’s and videos of all models that attend Casting • File Images for all models • Hold a presentation for clientele of selected models at the end of each casting day. • Contribute and select models that fit the brief of the designers Ideas. • Chase and obtain options on selected girls • Liaise Between London Agencies • Organise and schedule Request fittings for first option girls • Liaise with Designer and Stylist on selection and options • Make sure the day runs smoothly and is extremely organised due to the number of models attending each Casting • Attend shows at LFW and make sure the girls arrive at Call time, chase the models that are late • Keep backstage organised and the choreography of the line-up in order at all times.
My time at SPRING Studio's was spent in the studio, helping the production team and Editing Ecommerce Moving image. Editing catwalk material for Marks and Spencer’s / Per Una online shopping site. The Role required me to edit the footage directly as its shot, in a fast passed manner, ready to shoot the next look. My skills included the ability to work fast yet efficiently and be prepared for any problems that may arise during the editing process. Problems that occurred would need to be fixed in a timely manner as shooting time was within a tight schedule with a can do attitude. Consistency and strong eye for detail were a must. The ability to work in a team was of up most importance. Creativity and brand knowledge are also factors I always felt would help the process along. This role required me to obtain the following skills.... • Ability to work in a studio environment • Able to work well as part of a team in a highly pressurized environment • Excellent work ethic and positive attitude • The Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively • Exceptional organizational skills and very strong eye for detail • Team player • Ability to meet deadlines
