Hey, I’m Lillie �� I’m a fashion design & marketing grad and sustainability enthusiast. Here’s my story ⬇️
In 2016 I began my adventure to achieve my career dreams by moving to Galashiels and studying for my degree in fashion design & marketing.
Since then I have:
� Kept up to date with design, marketing and content trends on a daily basis to aid collection research, development and final execution.
� Discovered a new passion for graphic design, and undertook 4 years of Adobe training from a Graphic Design professional at university.
✂️ Altered and adapted basic pattern blocks to create original silhouettes, and made 30+ garments and toiles whilst at university. (and lots more since graduating)
� Completed an internship at Elsie and Fred and produced detailed CAD technical packs on Adobe Illustrator for manufacturers in China.
� Interned backstage at events company Fashions Finest, preparing garments for the catwalk.
� Developed and delivered lessons on sewing, quilting and fine arts to children of a vast age range at a summer camp in Vermont. I used my initiative and creative ability to assist children in solving problems.
� Finished my degree in June 2020 and began working as a sewing machinist at leading PPE manufacturer Alpha Solway.
� Had my work feature in Harper’s Bazaar, Oct issue 2020 under Global Young Talent.
� Launched my own sustainable womenswear brand, designing and creating made-to-order clothing with original print designs.

- Come Picnic With MeLillie Bell the Label is an independent, Scottish, sustainable fashion label, founded in September 2020 by me, Lillie (Hi!). I am a 22 year old (she/her), with a love for colour and a contempt for fast fashion. I graduated with a 2.1 in Fashion Design with Marketing in Summer 2020, and soon after created my brand. - IMAGINE - kids wear collectionIMAGINE is a kids-wear collection inspired by the creative, playful and educational nature of character flip books. Flip books involve the designinng of a character through mixing and matching various body parts or outfits, thus encouraging the child to use their imagination. The focus of this collection was to incorporate this aspect of flip books in prompting children to develop their mind in their play and learning. - AUDACITY: Up-cycled Graduate CollectionMy graduate collection was heavily inspired by the punk rock subculture. It is about energy, rebellion, freedom and individuality in a world where one should be a ‘good, polite girl’. Looking at renaissance paintings and exploring the change in attitudes over time prompted the concept of merging the idea of femininity and the punk subculture.
