About me
I am an artist, architect, designer, ceramicist and other things. I value humbleness of design, unpretentious gesture of creating an object with a certain purpose and simultaneously great symbolic capital and even its own social and sensual life. In 2020 I felt ready to launch virmary - a brand of handmade objects and jewellery. It is a reflection of my own values and aspirations. Sustainability is guiding my every choice, from the source materials and processes to packaging. My main materials are bisque porcelain and gold plated sterling silver. Avoiding glazing when possible allows for recyclability and reduces the amount of kiln firings. Each item is thoughtfully crafted by hand in very small series, making every piece unique.

  • Zaragoza
ZaragozaZaragoza chair is graceful and laconic with strong attention to details, to let such valuable material as natural wood speak for itself. It's pure shape allows it to be easily developed into a series of products, such as benches, bar-stools or lounge chairs. It received a special mention from Andreu World Design Awards.
  • Mediterranean Shade
Mediterranean ShadeThis lamp’s design was inspired by sharp edges of the shadows created by bright Mediterranean sun. Bleached natural colors contrasted by defined angular shadows contribute to the unique visual impression of the region. The design is simple and functional. A standard fluorescent tube, powder-coated steel mounts and a rotating shade, that allows to direct the light in the needed direction. Mediterranean Shade doubles as a table lamp and a sconce
  • #WhyNotShowOff
#WhyNotShowOffMedical engineers say that if they were not restricted by the tiny size of hearing aid, they could have improved the quality of sound. But still the main marketing requirement is to reduce the size and make the device as invisible as possible. If a hearing aid was designed to hide it better, does this mean that a wearer needs to hide it? If one is supposed to want to conceal the fact that she wears a hearing aid, does it make her actually want it? If so, how does this inflicted desire make one
  • Ephemeral jewellery / The Delta and the Matter
Ephemeral jewellery / The Delta and the MatterThroughout history human relationship to death was a leitmotif and the source of constant reflection in all cultures. This is the crucial aspect of religion and philosophy, it is a concept that both terrifies us and permits to find our place in the world, it is romantic and intriguing, and yet very natural and bodily. Most inexplicable differences between world societies are based on how the death and the dead are being perceived. What if death instead of being the greatest mystery becomes just
  • Embodied Explorations
Embodied ExplorationsIn the summer of 2016 together with my companions Ane Beraza and Aina Guirao we were invited to Madrid to participate in Canícula program organized by INJUVE. In our short residency we elaborated an experimental project that ended up with a workshop, exhibition and a publication. We proposed an emotional and open to interpretation, manner to investigate a city. And to embody this investigation into an actual object that best represents it. During our process we created a fanzine to explain our m

Training professionals capable of carrying out projects of research and experimentation in design resulting in critical analysis and the creation of objects and devices that can be used in the sustainable transformation of the socio-cultural environments in which we live. Those processes will be made possible by the research methods, the conceptual tools and the experimental practices which arise from the meeting of the social sciences, art and design. Taking its inspiration from free culture and open design, the kind of professional practice which is proposed is intended especially for contexts of work that are heterogeneous, trans-disciplinary and collaborative.
