About me
Senior Graphic Designer at Little Dot Studios, with a focus on marketing and branding development. Previously worked freelance with brands such as ITV, Netflix, The Great British Bake Off and Fremantle to help drive conversation and promotion through design. I work closely with a brand's values and aesthetics to deliver impactful creative solutions, utilising animation, typography and layout, editing skills, photoshop, and even winning a Shorty Award for song-writing. My design work within ITV Creative Social has received Shorty Awards, A Lovie Bronze Award, A Webby Honoree, and Promax Awards for innovative uses of social platforms. Graduated The Arts University of Bournemouth with 1st Class Honours in Visual Communication. Confident user of Adobe Creative Cloud, Keynote, Microsoft Office, Mac OS.

final_final_final.showVisual Communication 2016 Graduate Show The Arts University of Bournemouth Working in a small team, I worked closely with the branding of the show, and the systems we would follow, and I managed the website team, and also lead the entirety of the social media promotion, which involved 2D animation. Our final_final_final.show playfully reflects the file naming conventions we adopt as students. It is a nod to what we have learnt about the discipline of the design process; the infinite developme
  • Einstein on the Beach
Einstein on the BeachThis project explores the complexity of music and it’s value as language, and relates it to my design practices. Using Phillip Glass’ 1975 experimental opera ‘Einstein at the Beach’ as source material, the project explores how music can be visualised through typographic and layout systems. The animation and supporting print narrate the structures and theories that are often unfamiliar to those who do not read or play music. The project presents these unknowns to the audience and reflects the notion of communication systems across music and design.
  • Graphics, Users & Interfaces (Dissertation)
Graphics, Users & Interfaces (Dissertation)Designed section of Dissertation submission. The academic document was completed during my third and final year at The Arts University of Bournemouth. It investigates the semiotic engagement that we, the user, have to Graphical User Interface design. This draws on Anthropological and Psychological studies of human behaviour and our adaptation of objects of affection to the digital area, including a Case Study of Xerox PARC & Apple, widely claimed to be behind the interface as we know it today.
  • WPP & Theirworld (D&AD New Blood 2015)
WPP & Theirworld (D&AD New Blood 2015)A brief for D&AD New Blood 2015 which required a small team of myself, Stephanie Davis, Leo Bowyer & Di Guan to produce an Identity, Online Presence & Launch to support the education of girls through technology. Our concept, UNLOCK, aims to highlight the potential of our technological unity to unlock opportunities for girls. The idea of a socially responsible social network encompasses the idea of connection and coming together to make a difference. As well as leading the design of the Identity & Website, I also animated the 2 minute submission video for D&AD New Blood 2015.
  • Love Grub
Love GrubWe were given the task of creating a visual system and series of packaging for a country and it's national export. My choice was America, which I found to be a big exporter of controversy and division. The divide of state laws and opinions on same-sex marriage prompt the idea of branding Equality through a Burger Bar. The project is based on an experience of feeling comfortable and sharing a moment with somebody you love. This is achieved through a friendly aesthetic as well as function within the packaging. The trays encourage the idea of personal choice, whether you would like Fries with a side of more Fries, it is a unique and accepting experience. The tray design also encourages conversation and compliments. The cup is made of two compartments to bring people closer together whilst drinking. Consideration to the environment was also a big factor in this design, using recyclable materials, no washing up and little use of adhesives where possible. My visual identity is subtle and sensitive to the subject yet a strong, recognisable piece. The Burger Wraps were screen-printed whilst the Project book was made using perfect binding and scrap cardboard.
