I am an outgoing, friendly person who constantly wants to learn new things. I have shown myself to be self-motivated and committed in previous job roles as well as all projects completed whilst at university. Due to the freedom of my university degree, I'm currently exploring my true creative passion and discipline to flourish into a successful and happy career.
Projects
- Tell Me This - UntitledA university group project. My role: Copywriting & Script Writing Our university class were tasked with creating and hosting a conference; the target audience being young people aged 16-24. We collaborated with It's Nice That who helped us reach out to a wider audience and personally invited some industry professionals to the conference. The premise was to essentially have a huge open discussion about the creative industry; the unorthodox routes you can take to land your dream role, to use failures or unexpected situations as learning curves and most importantly to not be scared or overwhelmed to put yourself out there. Our submission for this unit was to create a short video relevance to the conference and/or the creative industry and from the get go I knew I wanted it to be informal. In a group with 2 others, we created this video targeted at creatives aged 16-19; using memes and deliberate cheesy humour to feel reassuring/familiar (anything but intimidating or overwhelming).
- Pass The Baton - ShelterA university group project. My role: Copywriting & Planning The homeless charity Shelter asked us to create a fund-raising fitness event that can be completed any time at any location; complementing their current 'Rush' challenges. We came up with 'Pass the Baton - A Virtual Relay Race - Travel How You Like In The Time You're Given'. This is a platform that allows users to collaboratively raise money by covering as much distance as they can or want; the more distance covered, the more money raised. Teams of 7 are formed with each member having 24 hours to complete their distance, raise their sponsors and pass the baton onto the next member. Therefore, each team has a week to complete. The team members share the distance they cover on social media to attract sponsors. Progress shared on social media can generate healthy competition between teams participating which can encourage others to get involved. The concept also has room to be adapted on a corporate level; e.g. each branch creates a team and at the end of the week they move on to another branch. Competition and donations can be generated nationally. Similarly with schools - each child completes a chosen activity with their parents/family sponsoring them. All sponsors are collated at the end of the week and donated, then the baton is passed to the next local school.
