My freelance work has spanned many disciplines, formats and genres. Originally starting out as a documentary film editor, then moving into theatre; specialising in film & video design as part of the scenery & set. After moving to London, I began creating motion graphics for TV title sequences, directing documentaries on art & architecture & more recently directing & editing promos & TVCs for luxury brands. It’s great to be able to take on interesting and challenging projects, working with the client to come up with ideas to help tell the story. I like to get involved in all aspects of the production, from scripting, story-boarding, choosing locations, shot selection through to the final post-production stage until the film is completed - beyond the expectations of the client. All of the projects I have been involved with, have had something that sparks an interest in me. Having an inquisitive mind helps. Asking lots of questions (perhaps too many), doing lots of research, exploring different ideas, looking for influences and inspiration. When I take on a project, I immerse myself in it - taking an interest in every stage & every aspect, from concept through to delivery, & perhaps beyond… Over the next few years, I hope to explore more personal projects; directing arts documentaries on leading artistic talents across a variety of creative fields; painting, sculpture, architecture, music, & photography.Locked Pro Plan feature

Mr.Vernon is my shop window, where a selection of my work can be seen. The work spans a fairly short period of my career, but gives a good indication of the quality and style of my creative output.
Cafe Films allowed me to pursue many creative avenues for my directing work. I worked on a diverse range of projects from arts documentary to short films to TV commercials. The thread that has worked it's way through all my work is one of quality, regardless of budget or deadlines.
During my time at Tangerine, I directed and edited films and promos for several luxury brands, including Range Rover, Jaguar and Rolls Royce. I gained valuable experience at Tangerine, working with some of the best producers and directors in the industry.
I was creative director of this boutique production and post production company, working with an experienced team of producers and directors to create content for a wide variety of clients. We specialised in creating unique films with high production values for both agencies and direct to clients.
I was head of post at this busy production and post production company, helping to coordinate a busy post production department and meeting with clients to facilitate their creative needs across a variety of projects, including short films, promos, music promos, TVCs and digital content.
At the RSC, I was responsible for a very wide range of activities that fell outside of the usual creative services for live theatre. I was initially hired to help the RSC develop ways of working with film and video during stage performances by providing technical assistance. I later had more artistic and creative input by providing films and animation for use in theatre as part of the scenery and set design. My technical know-how coupled with my creative abilities helped me become an integral part of many large (and small) productions at the RSC.
