About me
As a multi-disciplinary Senior Designer with a keen interest in the commercial aspects of advertising and design agencies, I always strive to put the client first. I listen carefully to their needs, ask lots of questions and strategise with my colleagues about how best to tell their story. This allows me to deliver high-quality creative that delights clients and wins them great results. Another key characteristic of my approach is my diligence and attention to detail. I value excellence and respect deadlines because I know the client always has the choice to go elsewhere. I am passionate about all areas of creativity and design.

    This exciting role saw me further developing my skills in branding and logo design, working with major clients on large, all-encompassing projects.Overseeing these from conception to delivery, a key part of my responsibilities was guiding the work of junior designers, nurturing them and getting the best from a small team with tight deadlines. The company focuses on bespoke digital marketing, website design and traditional design and print. Key Achievements: • 100% of all client deadlines met during my tenure. • Achieved excellent client satisfaction on all accounts, which were worth £50–70K per annum. • I created a new identity and all branding for Bespoke International Group, a large South African contact centre provider whose clientele are largely UK-based. • Designed all signage, branding, banners and digital assets for the inaugural F1-in-Schools STEM Challenge. The local round of this global event was hosted by Mahle-Behr, a large automotive parts maker and Formula 1 partner. • Gave outreach talks and workshops to school pupils about the F1-in-SchoolsChallenge.

    I was brought into this company by an ex-director, as they were looking for a trusted creative designer who could help shape the firm and quickly bring commercial success. This role was more advertising focused, as opposed to design, and so I greatly increased my exposure to running B2C advertising accounts. We worked mainly in traditional media and had many clients from the events, entertainment, automotive and FMCG sectors. The environment was fast-paced with tight deadlines and budgets. Key Achievements: • Managed Top Gear Live Festivals for Clarion Events in South Africa, producing all print and digital assets for websites, ticket sites, lanyards, signage, floor decals and other marketing materials. • Worked quickly with Clarion Events to redo all of the above communication as a result of Jeremy Clarkson being fired from the BBC, necessitating a branding change to Clarkson, Hammond and May. • Personally led the rebranding of the Durban International Convention Centre (DURBAN ICC), transforming all signage, posters, website, advertising and other marketing creative – including their Brand Bible. • Successfully delivered great results on many accounts with an average value of £25 - £50K per year. • Executed a social media campaign for Garment Division, winning them 60,000 followers in 6 months on Facebook. Achieved an engagement of +/-1000 organic likes and 50-150 comments per post. • Assisted the Managing Director on all strategies and creative pitches to stakeholders. • Managed the day-to-day running of the studio, managing deadlines, resourcing, training and mentoring.
