Nadine is a graduate of Illustration & Visual Media, BA (HONS) at UAL London College of Communication. She is a reliable collaborator, confident lone worker, problem solver with a meticulous eye for detail and an ability to create solutions driven by the demands of the brief. Nadine's practice UAL involved a close attention to Printmaking including Screenprinting, Lithography, Print Production and Etching. Nadine is also confident in Bookbinding and the Adobe Creative Suite. She is constantly on, devouring ideas like sweets, having written and illustrated several narratives and publications including Satire, Charity work and Collaborative Projects. Nadine has an interest in creative roles in Advertising and Marketing, this was demonstrated with her Marketing and concept inspired by Fortnum and Mason's picnic hampers. She illustrated and designed packaging for a selection of traditional English treats, for a Alfred Hitchcock Hamper. This was featured in her final degree show at London College of Communication.
My continuing role at UAL is to facilitate and contribute to the promotion of UAL’s ever changing academic institution. My roles range from assisting staff with administrative tasks, leading tours, leading and organising educational workshops and preparing promotional material. • Administrative roles • Tour guide • Interview shaperone • Workshop facilitator and organiser • Speaker
Myself and a small team of young creatives, collaborated with the charity Big Draw to organise a drawing workshop at the British Museum. The workshop was intended to enhance the visitor’s response to the exhibits, by organising several arts and crafts exercises for all ages. By doing so I utilised my skills as an organiser and planner. I continued this role when the Big Draw annual event was hosted by Central Saint Martin’s (CSM) where I participated in similar roles with older youths and adults. • Organising tasks and budgeting • Producing items for workshop tasks • Ensuring the smooth running of a public event
As part of The Foundling Museum’s collaborative project with my course, the brief was to produce creative responses to the museum’s rich history. As the Project Manager and Lead Designer, myself and two collaborative students produced a publication to document the creative contributions from my class, which was printed, designed and bound solely by myself; this can be found in the museum’s artist’s archive, and was used for a pop-up exhibition held at the museum to celebrate the success of the project. My roles included: • Creative Direction • Booklet, Brochure layout design • Graphic Design • Project organisation • Promotion and organisation of a client based project and exhibition
