About me
Hi there - I'm Rafael Goulart, a London-based Creative Art Director/Designer. Throughout my 10-year career, I’ve had the chance of developing advertising campaigns, brand identities and in-store communication projects for Zurich Insurance, Honda, Cargill, Samsung, Bic, Nestlé, Google and Mizuno, among others. I’ve worked at W/McCann, Talent Marcel, Grey and Y&R São Paulo and, prior to that, I had a brief stint in the editorial market, at Folha de São Paulo, a major Brazilian newspaper. My work has been recognised in the Cannes Lions Festival, New York Festival, ABP, El Ojo, Fiap and has also been selected for Lürzer’s Archive and Best Ads on TV.     Bic - The SecretFor their 2016 back-to-school campaign, Bic wanted to promote their pencil line, increasing brand recall among parents, the main shoppers. So we teamed up with a school and promoted a experiment with parents of fourth grade students. Upon dropping their kids to a test, they were invited for a last minute parent-teacher conference, where a challenge was presented: can you do well if you take the very same test your kid is taking right now?     Santa Casa// PrintSanta Casa de Misericórdia, one of the most important hospitals in Brazil, briefed us on a print campaign to advise people of the dangers of being overweight.While researching, I discovered that obesity-related ailments kill more than other illnesses that seem scarier, like Aids, Hepatitis and Pneumonia.Upon realising this, I set on finding a visual manner of showing this to the population.     BIC Shavers // FilmWithin the disposable razors segment, Bic Comfort 3 is one of the sturdiest options. With three blades, it provides a close shave that lasts longer than its competitors.  Most men, however, weren't seeing its advantages, opting instead for cheaper single-blade options. To enhance Bic Comfort 3 superior results, we chose to play with extreme shaving situations. TVC aired in Brazil and Latin America.

We tapped into this insight to promote PADI, provoking these consumers by showing places that could only be fully known with a scuba diving certification.
