MTV is the world’s premier youth entertainment brand. With a global reach of nearly 785 million households, MTV is the cultural home of the millennial generation, music fans and artists, and a pioneer in creating innovative programming for young people. As Managing Editor for MTV Australia & NZ, I was responsible for both the commercial and editorial content output for all websites and digital channels including MTV Travel, Style, Music, and MTV.co.nz. I managed a team of creators from writers, to in-house talent and freelance crew, bringing editorial and branded content campaigns to life.
As the lead writer for MTV Australia and New Zealand's digital and social channels, I was responsible for the daily output of all editorial content from breaking entertainment news, to long-form features on various passion pillars (Style, Travel, Music) as well as working with the sales team to implement all commercial campaigns.
MTV's shutdown of all regular programming to promote voting in the same sex marriage plebiscite was nominated for a CommsCon award.
MTV Fit Sessions was awarded the Most Outstanding Advertising Campaign at the Subscription Television Australia awards.
