About me
Hello there. I am Ross. I specialise in Visual Design including Branding, Marketing, Editorial, Events and Digital. I have spent the last 15 years helping brands and companies communicate messages to their customers. I believe that by understanding your customer needs, only then can you speak to them meaningfully. It all started at a local newspaper before I cut my design teeth with The Financial Times, working on their magazine titles. 6 years later I moved into content publishing, designing apps and magazines for Vodafone before setting up a Design team at a Datacenter Events company. Then came website and book redesigns for the G7 & G20, the African Union and Kazakhstan Government. I am now a Freelance Designer after a 3 year stint at an insight agency, helping some of the world’s biggest brands understand their customers. In the last 6 months I have been working with the Interbrand Global Marketing team helping launch new products to help reposition the business.   • G7 & G20 Magazine
    G7 & G20 MagazineThe Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy is a body that tracks and challenges the policies that world organisations make at events like the G7 and G20. My job was a full redesign for the G7 and G20 world leader summits. The brief was to focus on the original interviews and leaders as this is the publications USP. Sourced and changed stock and size. Introduced illustration, commissioned covers, infographics, new page furniture and navigation.
  • Interbrand - Brandchannel Magazine
    Interbrand - Brandchannel MagazineWorking with the Global Marketing Team to launched the first Brandchannel magazine based on the website. Communicating with CMOs from Nike, Mastercard, Burberry and others to design a publication to promote thought leadership within the industry. Splashed the cash on metallic ink for standout spreads and a fluro stock for the cover with white ink and spot uv. To make the book feel collectable and to help is stand out on the shelf!

    6 month secondment to assist with the repositioning of the business. Responsible for all C Space and Interbrand marketing outputs. Launched a quarterly paper, reports, magazines and websites. Working with the Global Management team at Interbrand to create the 2019 Best Global Brands report. For the first time we created 6 sector reports on the World’s best brands. Launched the first Brandchannel magazine based on the website.
