Projects
- Weroom - Social Media/MarketingDuring my time as community manager for Weroom I was involved in a variety of marketing campaigns for the company (online and offline) as well as creating blog articles and social media posts to attract new visitors. This also involved design work. I was involved in the strategy behind campaigns and delivered in-detail reports on analytics and results, additionally I put forward many ideas based on research and trends. I have attached some highlights and examples of the work I was involved in.
- SESOMEDuring my time at SESOME I was involved in a number of projects. I was able to sink my teeth into a variety of tasks here due to the start-up nature and small team involved. This included primarily writing and outreach, and additionally design, marketing, SEO, link building and advertising. For each campaign I would brainstorm ideas with the team and get stuck into the creation. Here's a few which I was involved in: Christmas Dinners Around The World Client: Bookatable Aim: To create awareness of Bookatable and generate clicks around the festive season. Approach: To create an infographic and accompanying article which draws in a global audience hence the decision to incorporate numerous traditions around the world. Results: Generated articles in The Daily Mail, The Stylist, MSN Video, AOL, USA Today and a huge conversation on 9gag Fun Before You Fly Client: Dealchecker Aim: To stir social media interest and gain clicks. Approach: We came to the conclusion that airports can be really boring, so we excavated a few real gems that we could share with Dealchecker's travel audience. Results: Articles produced in association with our work on Huffington Post, Business Insiderand Yahoo Small Business. Various Client: Gumtree Aim: Gumtree asked us to focus in on a few of their popular products exchanged over their website. Approach: We created such campaigns as 'The History of the Bike', 'Save on your Wedding' and 'Benefits of Owning a Scooter' Results: Again, our work was featured on many relevant sites and gained great traction.
- Interview/Social Media CampaignI managed to liaise with Peace's record label Sony and Columbia to arrange an interview with them for my site Moonshake which I had only just started. This was my first interview and had arranged it myself, this demonstrates my communicative abilities as well as a capability to deliver results. After the successful interview, I channelled my efforts into my social media accounts which drew traction on an exclusive I managed to attain (they were playing Glastonbury Festival), as well as gaining a tweet from the band themselves to their 60,000 followers. I also went on to plug the interview and site on BBC 6 Music radio show with Lauren Laverne.
