- Keki ya Ulaya (Cake of the West)We have recently acquired the rights to an upcoming Swahili-language novel, 'Keki ya Ulaya', by Yussuf Shoka Hamad. 'Keki ya Ulaya' depicts a Zanzibari civil servant, Kisabaluu, who flees to Europe after a run-in with a drug-smuggling gang in his home town. After a perilous journey to the UK, he encounters a society largely ignorant of his abilities and aspirations and unable to look beyond his refugee status. - AmazonasWe are developing a feature film based on the real-life experiences of two rowers that became the first people to row the navigable length of the Amazon river. The film will be a psychological horror, portraying the slow erosion of relationships between those on board and the seeping paranoia and exhaustion of the film's protagonists. It will draw on indigenous Amazonian philosophy to depict the protagonists shapeshifting as their relationships turn sour - with the film's protagonists gradually
